The Butch Factor

What does it mean to be gay and a man? The Butch Factor sets out to deconstruct the stereotypes that have divided the gay community between “straight-acting” guys and “femmes” for decades. It seeks also to share a conscious personal struggle that gay men endure in regards to social norms of masculinity and how it impacts them personally. Told from a spectrum of gay men from effeminate to traditional masculine energies to men of color, their stories are informative and thought provoking on life of modern American gay life in a heterosexist culture.
